Leslie Grosinger, M.D., F.A.C.S., Medical Director
As founder of Grosinger, Spigelman & Grey Eye Surgeons in 1990, Dr. Grosinger has made it his professional goal to be on the cutting edge of laser refractive and cataract surgery. He has been voted by his peers to be one of Michigan’s top eye surgeons on several occasions. He has most recently been called upon to be a lead investigator in the development of the ReSTOR intraocular lens, which improves upon conventional intraocular lenses by providing patients with close, intermediate, and distance vision. Dr. Grosinger currently holds fellowship positions in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. He is also a board member of the Michigan Ophthalmic Society and the Oakland County Medical Society. Dr. Grosinger serves as the Medical Director of the Eye Surgery Center of Michigan.
Alan Spigelman, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Spigelman has established a reputation as one of Michigan’s leading eye surgeons focusing on cataract, refractive and corneal surgery. He has written numerous articles on cataract surgery, intraocular lens implantation, and various laser correction techniques. Dr. Spigelman has served as an investigator in FDA trials of the VISX laser platform, a state-of-the-art excimer laser, in refractive surgeries and also the development of the ReSTOR intraocular lens. He was the recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Honor Award in 1997. Dr. Spigelman has also been involved in teaching cataract surgery at the American Academy of Ophthalmology skills transfer courses.
David Grey, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. David S. Grey has particular expertise in the treatment of cataracts and performs advanced no-stitch, small incision cataract surgery as well as laser refractive surgery. He is also highly accomplished in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Grey was awarded the H. Sol Sugar Award for Resident of the Year in 1989. He also provides clinical instruction to resident physicians in ophthalmology in Southeastern Michigan. He currently holds a fellowship position in the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Grey is an active member of the American Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, and the Michigan State Medical Society.
Les Siegel, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Les I Siegel, M.D. is the founder of the Glaucoma Center of Michigan, and is an ophthalmologist specializing in the consultation and treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Siegel has made numerous presentations and written various publications on the diagnosis, treatment and surgical procedures pertaining to glaucoma and cataract related subjects. He has particular interest in combined cataract surgery with glaucoma laser procedures (ECP) as well as incorporating the newest lens implant technology for his patients.
Marc Siegel, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Marc J. Siegel, M.D. is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the consultation and treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Siegel served as chief resident and completed his glaucoma fellowship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. He received the Heed Foundation and Fight for Sight Fellowship Awards in Glaucoma. Dr. Siegel has had multiple scientific publications and presentations on topics relating to glaucoma diagnosis and management. He has a particular interest in complex glaucoma and cataract surgical problems as well as new, innovative astigmatic and accommodating implants for cataract surgery.
Matthew Citron, D.O., F.A.C.S.
Matthew E. Citron, DO is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the consultation and treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Citron is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Michigan State University. Prior to joining the Glaucoma Center of Michigan, he was with the Wayne State University's Kresge Eye Institute as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Local Residency Program Director in the Sinai-Grace Hospital facility. Dr. Citron has an extensive list of presentations and published abstracts including advancements in the subspecialties of glaucoma and cataract surgical procedures.
Donald B. Muenk, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Muenk is a specialist in small incision cataract lens implant surgery, laser surgery and glaucoma management. Dr. Muenk is the founder and director of Cataract and Eye Consultants of Michigan. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. A graduate of Wayne State University of Medicine, Dr. Muenk served his residency in ophthalmology at the nationally renowned Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. He received additional advanced fellowship training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.
Sarah B. Muenk-Gold, M.D.
Dr. Muenk-Gold is a member of the Cataract and Eye Consultants of Michigan, which is committed to providing state-of-the-art eye care while treating the whole person. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan. After attending Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Muenk completed her internship at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit. She then completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit.
Alan C. Parent, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Parent's areas of expertise include: small incision cataract lens implant surgery, laser refractive surgery (LASIK), diabetic eye diseases, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cosmetic eyelid procedures. Dr. Parent graduated with honors from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1997 and completed his surgical internship and ophthalmology residency at Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Parent is Clinical Assistant Professor and director of Surgical Education at the renowned Kresge Eye Institute. Here he teaches cataract surgery to ophthalmology residents. He joined Cataract & Eye Consultants of Michigan in 2001.
Marilyn Sultana-Gallick, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Sultana-Gallick is a specialist in small incision cataract lens implant surgery, laser surgery, diabetic eye disease and glaucoma. Dr. Sultana-Gallick is a member of the Cataract and Eye Consultants of Michigan, and earned her M.D. degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1982. After serving her internship year at St. John Hospital in Detroit, she completed her ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute where she was appointed Chief Resident. Dr. Sultana is currently on staff at St. John Macomb Hospital.
