VIVITY® IOL TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT

IOLs are clear lenses that are surgically implanted on top of the eye’s natural lens and lessens the need for glasses and contact lenses. The VIVITY® IOL lens exceeds monofocal lenses for clearer distance, as well as improves intermediate and near vision.

VIVITY® IOL utilizes newly developed X-WAVE technology that expands and uses light rays that permit an extended range of vision for near, intermediate and distance. Multifocals and trifocals use rings that split the light that works to improve distance vision.

VIVITY® IOL Clinical Studies

  • 87% of patients reported they do not need glasses for intermediate vision (arms-length) compared to 57% with a standard lens
  • 47% of patients reported not needing reading glasses, compared to 16% using standard options

VIVITY® IOL VISION ENHANCEMENTS

The Acrysof® IQ Vivity® Extended Vision IOL can be used to enhance vision for people with cataracts, astigmatism, nearsightedness, farsightedness, and hyperopia.

CATARACT TREATMENT & VIVITY® IOL

For patients receiving cataract treatment, VIVITY® IOL can reduce dependence from glasses and contacts providing clearer, enhanced vision at a wider range of distances. Cataract surgery lifts the cloudiness from your vision but does not improve refractive problems. VIVITY® IOL can help with refractive problems to further improve your sight particularly near and intermediate vision which is not improved by other IOLs.

**Results vary by patient**

Cataract surgery is one of the safest and common procedures performed in the U.S according to the National Institute of Health.
